Founded in 2007, West Kent Networking is a free business networking group for local business people to link up, offer mutual support, exchange business contacts and generate sales leads for each other. If you own or manage a business in West Kent or want to do business locally, then this is the network for you.
No joining fees, no breakfast meetings, no speed networking or enforced leads quota, no dull speakers, all new members are screened but there’s no exclusion if a trade is already represented in the membership.
WKN is all about building relationships between local businesses and business people and promoting each others´ services or products. We however frown on hard selling tactics. Just inform, don't be a pain. It’s all about relaxed networking, getting to know each other over a drink and some nibbles.
We support and promote independent businesses by holding our meetings in a different local venue each month. If members would like a chance to promote their own business, they are more than welcome to host one of the meetings.
Sign up today, get approved and then create your business profile. Connect with other members and talk about issues that affect you and your business. Write about your business news or other topics in one of the forums or in your own blog. Join us on Facebook and Twitter. And most importantly RSVP to attend the West Kent Networking events. Networking works best if you still meet face-to-face every so often!
OK, well how about this: we’re also your one-stop-shop for business advice. Sign up for our paid service, and you’ll have access to a host of resources to help you set up and manage your business, such as tips on marketing, managing your accounts, or how to write a winning proposal, templates for business letters, legal and tax advice, and more. To complement all this, we run regular workshops throughout the year.
West Kent Networking is part of the About Talent Group, which provides leadership development, coaching and business advisory services to small and medium sized companies. Belinda and Caroline run their own businesses and between them have many years experience advising on enterprise and careers, and mentoring entrepreneurs. They are committed to helping to develop the local business community by promoting networking that works across West Kent and supporting WKN members in their business endeavours.
