It's an informal get-together. Generally people talk one on one or in small groups and mingle as they see fit. You'll need a bit of a work head to remember to tell people what you do but a focused hard-sell will not be needed.

Business cards are a good idea so you can make more formal contact with anyone you think you can work with the next day.

As it will (weather permitting) be my first time at a networking event, can you give me an idea of what happens? Is it an informal get together or do I have to get my work head on? Thanks
