Vodafone claims 50,000 first-day iPhone sales

Was going to as I get a patchy o2 signal where I am and my contract has run out. However, a 2 year contract on a 3Gs with Vodafone when a new iPhone will probably be out within 6 months put me off. 18 months stuck with old technology wasn't for me and let's face it the next iPhone will be faster and have more features, unlike the interim 3Gs update to the original 3G.

So, I called o2 and told them I wanted to cancel my contract what could they offer and they suggested the iPhone simplicity 20 tariff - unlimited texts, 600 inclusive minutes on a rolling monthly contract that I can cancel at any time all for £20 per month....Happy Days! This will do me nicely until the next iPhone is available at which point I will go with Vodafone, my preferred mobile provider.
