"I want to help business owners to know that their finance functions, from bank recs to customer payment, is as robust as it can be. I will do this by listening, helping with new systems (IT and procedural), maybe just set up a spreadsheet or maybe help existing staff go to the next level with some relevant training."

"I have worked in finance departments for over 25 years. I started as a trainee accountant working for an entrepreneur who mentored me through those early years. I was, as they say, "dumped in the deep end" and I had to learn fast about accounts and business, and how, if done correctly, accounts can support the business as it grows.
